Department: 35019 Atrium Health Pineville - Nursing: Schedule: 2 12‑hour day shifts per week; holiday rotation; weekend rotation

Pay Range: $38.20 - $57.30 per hour

Atrium Health Pineville Mother‑Baby unit is a 22‑bed fast‑paced unit caring for postpartum women and their newborns in a couplet care model. The unit cares for low‑to‑high‑risk patients and postpartum patients on magnesium. It is designated by Baby‑Friendly USA and ANCC Pathways to Excellence, and is on the Magnet journey. The unit promotes teamwork and supports professional development and certification in maternal‑newborn care.

Completion of an accredited or approved nursing program

Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the nurse practices

Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association

Responsible for the direct provision of patient care and assisting the manager with daily operations, including coordination of patient care/outcomes, allocation of human and fiscal resources, communications, patient throughput, program development and oversight, patient, physician and employee rounding, selection, development, and retention of staff, clinical supervision and performance appraisal, performance improvement activities, service recovery and compliance with regulatory agency requirements. Maintains clinical and professional competency appropriate to the patient population served.
