We are seeking an Electrical Integration Engineer to join our team on the Engineering Services and Science Capability Augmentation (ESSCA) contract whose work is destined to have a long-range effect on future generations!

Systems Integration and Test Facility (SITF), Systems Integration Laboratory (SIL) Hardware-in-the-Loop facility (HWIL), and the Software Development Facilities (SDFs) that will be used to verify the integrated avionics system for the Space Launch System (SLS) at NASA s Marshall Space Flight Center (MSFC). The position requires expertise in assembly, testing, troubleshooting, and some limited design skill that would be relevant in supporting distributed computing and simulation laboratories, integration tasks and development activities. The position will require personnel certification in operations including Electrostatic Discharge, Cabling Operator, and Crimping Operator.
Perform software/hardware integration activities as required:

• Support software/hardware integration troubleshooting and bug-fix activities
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure products meet performance goals
• Troubleshooting and development Linux based operating systems.
• Utilize Software Development Language to assist with troubleshooting
• Create and Interpret Engineering Drawings and Schematics

A degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering or related field is required. Experience in electronic hardware assembly and test.

• Experience in troubleshooting flight like bus interfaces such as MIL-STD 1553B, RS422, RS485, Compact PCI, PCI
• Express, Gigabit Ethernet (GbE), Discretes, Analog-Digital, Digital-Analog, etc. Experience with cable routing and cable testing is highly desired.
• Experience writing and executing test procedures, performing electrical fabrication and assembly based on verbal or written input, and performing troubleshooting of hardware installations is highly desired.
• Ability to determine a software fault and system level source of a software fault.
• Ability to obtain/maintain certifications for various activities such as Overhead Crane/Hoist, Program Critical Hardware/ Manual Move, Electrostatic Discharge, Scissor Lift, Aerial Platform and Forklift.
• Familiarity with NASA quality control policies and procedures.
• Experience in computer rack development, buildup, installation and troubleshooting.
• Experience with Linux based operating systems.
• Experience with a Software Development Language
• Knowledge of systems engineering processes and procedures in disciplines such as hardware and software integration, requirements development, verification and validation, and testing.
