In-Person Interpreter (Independent Contractor)

We recognize the vital role interpreters play and strive to provide consistent opportunities, responsive support, and a streamlined scheduling experience. As a 1099 Contract Interpreter, you will support diverse communities by delivering on‑site interpretation services in a variety of settings. This role offers flexible, per diem assignments with competitive pay, allowing you to build a rewarding and scalable career.
We are seeking reliable, professional, and detail‑oriented individuals who are passionate about language access and communication. Candidates eager to expand knowledge of medical and legal terminology will have opportunities for increased earnings and career growth.
Provide accurate on‑site interpretation between English and your target language
Travel to client locations within a 30‑mile radius of New York City, NY
Provide excellent customer service in all interactions
Be willing and able to travel locally to assignments
Languages Currently in Demand
We are actively seeking interpreters for the following languages: Afar, Dari, Farsi, Karen, Kinyarwanda, Kirundi (Rundi), Kurdish, Luganda, Maji, Pashto, Portuguese, Somali, Swahili, Tigrinya, Turkish, Urdu, Vietnamese.
Competitive pay: starting at $25.00 per hour (with potential for higher rates based on experience and specialization)
