Job Description Sterile Compounding Pharmacist
Location: Austin, TX

Full-time, and also open to reduced hours!
Monday-Friday
Possibility of rotating Saturdays (half-days)

We are seeking an experienced Sterile Compounding Pharmacist to help establish and lead a new sterile compounding laboratory. This is an exciting opportunity for a pharmacist with strong sterile compounding expertise to play a key role in developing workflows, quality systems, and regulatory compliance while delivering high-quality, customized medications.

Responsibilities
Verify and approve sterile compounded prescriptions for accuracy and safety
Supervise sterile compounding technicians and ensure USP compliance
Compound sterile preparations using aseptic technique
Review formulations, calculations, compatibility, stability, and beyond-use dating
Verify batch records and approve final product release
Develop and maintain sterile compounding SOPs and quality documentation
Oversee environmental monitoring and cleanroom quality programs
Support process validation, equipment qualification, and regulatory readiness
Provide clinical consultation to patients and prescribers
Collaborate with the pharmacy team to improve workflows and maintain compliance

Qualifications
Active Texas Pharmacist license in good standing
Sterile compounding experience with strong knowledge of USP
Experience compounding sterile medications from raw active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs)
Excellent attention to detail, organization, and documentation skills
Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
