The Office of Criminal Conflict & Civil Regional Counsel, First Region, is seeking a full‑time attorney to handle criminal, dependency, and civil cases in the 14th Circuit. The attorney will represent clients in various court hearings across Gulf, Holmes, Bay, Jackson, Calhoun and/or Washington counties.
Responsibilities
Conduct legal research and prepare pleadings, motions, and briefs for criminal and civil cases.
Represent clients in all court hearings, including pre‑trial, trial, and appellate proceedings.
Manage multiple dockets, ensuring timely filing and compliance with court rules.
Advise and counsel clients on legal matters related to criminal defense, civil dependency, and termination of parental rights.
Qualifications
Minimum of 3 years of legal experience, preferably in Criminal Defense and/or Civil dependency and termination of parental rights cases.
Current membership in good standing with The Florida Bar.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Ability to work independently and manage a diverse docket.
