The LifeScape Specialty Hospital is very unique! Because it is the only pediatric rehabilitation hospital in the state!

Our pediatric unit provides 24-hour specialized care for patients ranging from birth to 21-years old who have complex medical needs.

Our team of nurse’s work in a collaborative, interdisciplinary, family-centered environment and provide compassionate, professional care while empowering children to live their best lives.

Some of the many important tasks that RN’s perform include, but are not limited to, the following:

Performs nursing tasks for pediatric patients for both our medically complex and inpatient rehabilitation unit

Completes pediatric assessments, respiratory care, trach care, suctioning, neb treatments, and ventilator use

Communicates a clear picture of a child’s health and any changes in their status

Serves as a primary nurse within a specific unit

Promotes health and safety

Building relationships with our long-term patients and their families

Job Requirements Graduate of an accredited Registered Nurse (RN) program required. Valid South Dakota RN Licensure required. Prior nursing and/or direct care experience preferred. They reflect principal job elements essential for performing the job and evaluating performance.
