Population census, demographic health surveys, research, datacollection and analysis, which are essential for developmentplanning as well as in humanitarian settings Context The Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Associate will operatewithin the UNFPA Country Office in Port Sudan, directly supportingthe M&E Specialist and working closely with the programme andsupport teams. UNFPA\'s strategic direction focuses on achievingthree transformative results: to end preventable maternal deaths;end unmet need for family planning; and end gender-based violenceand harmful practices. The Country Office is implementing robustinformation, monitoring, evaluation, and learning systems. Theselected candidate will assist the M&E Specialist instrengthening monitoring, evaluation, accountability, and learningactivities, ensuring that UNFPA programming is based on evidence,and well positioned as well as optimally integrated into nationalframeworks and humanitarian response plans. Task description Coordination and RBM Best Practices: Assist with tracking project metrics and applyingResults-Based Management (RBM) principles to data entry and basicreporting. Assist in gathering data to ensure programme delivery alignswith the Country Programme Document, the UNFPA Strategic Plan,donor requirements, and national frameworks. Supports the coordination of results planning and reportingacross the office. Knowledge Management Support: Assist in the digitalization of knowledge management forongoing programme, support, and M&E activities. Help organize and format the collection, systematization, anddissemination of knowledge products, good practices, and lessonslearned Follow-Up and Capacity Building: Support the M&E Specialist in strengthening the capacityof Country Office staff and implementing partners (IPs) regardingmonitoring, evaluation, reporting, and learning concepts. Support follow-up with IPs on regular quantitative andqualitative reporting requirements. Assist in preparing, collecting, and updating templates andbest practices, such as checklist, mission findings, action andrecommendation trackers. Framework Maintenance and Updating Help maintain and routinely update M&E master filesrelated to service locations, Monitoring activities, data reportingmechanisms, information frameworks, and work plans Eligibility criteria Age: 18 - 80 Required experience: 3 years Nationality: Candidate must be a national, legal residentor hold refugee status in the country of assignment. Assignment requirements Relevant experience: 2 years Languages Arabic, Level: Fluent, Required English, Level: Fluent, Required Required education level Bachelor\'s degree in Engineering, computer science, businessadministration, data analysis, business intelligence, or anyrelevant field. Experience in supporting the coordination ofmonitoring visits and tracking the implementation of follow-uprecommendations. Attention to detail and results-orientedapproach. Data literacy and excellent command ofspreadsheets and tables. Excellent oral and written skills; excellentdrafting, formulation, reporting skills; Desirable: experience with data cleaningprinciples, and data visualization Have affinity with or interest in Sexual andReproductive Health, the Prevention and Response to Gender BasedViolence, volunteerism as a mechanism for durable development, andthe UN system.
