The Mammography Technologist I will be responsible for performing quality patient care and mammographic images for successful diagnostic of patients for the radiologist. Demonstrate competency performing all mammographic procedures and the operation of all related equipment

Greet patients, obtain history, and enter information in computer system

Maintain quality standards as it relates to HIPAA regulations

All clinical aspects of mammography suite; maintain cleanliness of examination rooms and stock necessary medical and radiologic supplies

Assist in the completion of the accreditation process for American College of Radiology (ACR) every three years and maintain CPR certification

Provide coverage as needed (e.g., Maintain communication with radiologists and other physicians, patients and their families, and other persons

Consistently submit images of diagnostic quality without recommendation of additional image acquisition; perform quality assurance on images and equipment; processor QC and phantom QC

Monthly, quarterly, and yearly QC testing documentation

Provide excellent patient care by addressing concerns before and after examination

Examine radiologic film for properties such as density and contrast, definition, magnification, and distortion; provide excellent quality

Contribute to efficient out‑patient operations, maximizing the productivity of assigned modality

Review each examination for technical accuracy, present completed examinations to radiologist, and communicate pertinent data to persons responsible for the care of patients following the procedure

Enhance professional growth and maintain certifications, registration and active CME's through education programs, conferences, and workshops

High school diploma or equivalent

ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) (M) certified

Diagnostic Mammography certified

Associate degree or Baccalaureate degree in radiography, radiation therapy, or nuclear medicine

1+ years of experience as a general radiologic technologist

Able to lift patients weighing up to 300 pounds and place them in appropriate positions for operation of equipment

Eyesight correctable to 20/20 to operate equipment and review developed films

New York Residents Only: The hourly range for this role is $28.03 to $54.95 per hour. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
