PlaterJoin our team in the plating area where you will operate machines to dip products in various chemicals, altering their chemical properties. ResponsibilitiesSet up and control the plating line to coat metal objects for protective or decorative purposes according to customer specifications.Monitor the quality of the plating solution and inspect finished parts.Follow instructions from job routings and supervisory personnel to produce quality parts while maintaining desired production levels.Remove plated products from solutions periodically and inspect them to ensure conformance to customer specifications.Examine parts visually at the end of the process and measure thickness using instruments to ensure parts meet customer specifications.Essential SkillsElectroplatingChemical handlingProduction experience1+ years experience working in a plating environmentGood organizational skillsAbility to follow instructionsBasic math knowledgeAbility to maintain a regular and reliable attendance recordFluency in reading, writing, and speaking the English languageHigh school diplomaAbility to stand for 8 hours a dayMust be able to lift up to 50 lbs.Our team values collaboration and innovation, ensuring you are supported and encouraged to excel in your role.Work EnvironmentWork in a manufacturing/distribution facility environment that can reach up to 90 degrees in the summer and has chemical odors. You'll be exposed to heat, humidity, dust, fumes, gases, toxic/caustic chemicals, airborne particles, and loud noise. The role requires mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as safety goggles, hearing protection, steel-toed work boots, and safety gloves.
