The facility has received few submissions so far. American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring at least 2 years of ER experience and a WV or Compact RN license.

Combined general Emergency Department serving adult and pediatric patients

Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:00

Cerner charting system used

Cardiac monitoring and emergency response duties, including dysrhythmia interpretation and management

Provides care for psychiatric and behavioral health emergencies

Handles pediatric emergencies including asthma, seizures, and head injuries

Performs orthopedic trauma care including splinting

Active WV or Compact RN license required; Minimum 2 years of RN experience required

Cerner charting experience required

Prior travel nursing experience required

Community hospital experience preferred

Minimum 2 Manager and/or Charge Nurse references from the past 2 years required

Skilled in IV therapy, phlebotomy, and central line care/management

Skilled in interpretation of arterial blood gases (ABGs)

Experience managing violent behavior and psychiatric holds

Provide emergency care across a wide range of medical, psychiatric, neurological, and trauma presentations

Deliver care in a fast-paced, high-acuity ER environment

Candidates must have a permanent address greater than 100 miles from the facility; Former permanent employees must wait 2 years from their last date of employment before returning as a traveler

Current employees of the affiliated health system (including CAMC Health Systems, Mon Health Systems, Davis Medical Center, Broaddus Hospital, Webster Memorial Hospital, Grafton City Hospital, Highland-Clarksburg Hospital, and Minnie Hamilton Health System) are not eligible for this travel contract
