The Operations Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Kansas City, MO, responsible for overseeing day-to-day janitorial and facility maintenance operations. This role manages site supervisors and frontline staff, coordinates schedules, and ensures work is completed to quality, safety, and compliance standards. The Operations Manager monitors budgets, controls costs, and supports resource planning, including staffing, equipment, and supplies. The role involves building strong client relationships, addressing service issues, and implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency and service delivery. Daily tasks also include reviewing performance metrics, conducting inspections, and collaborating with leadership to meet organizational goals.

Experience overseeing building maintenance or janitorial operations, including scheduling, supervision, and quality control.

Proficiency in basic business operations such as budgeting, cost control, and resource allocation.

Effective communication and customer service skills for working with clients, vendors, and internal stakeholders.

Ability to analyze operational data, identify issues, and implement process improvements.

Comfort with using standard office software and technology tools for reporting, scheduling, and documentation.

Knowledge of workplace safety practices and compliance requirements in facility services environments.

Previous experience in facilities management, building services, or related industries is preferred.

High school diploma required; associate or bachelor’s degree in business, management, or a related field is beneficial.
