Division General Counsel & Head of Contract Management IAPI

In this role, you will have the opportunity to provide strategic legal counsel as a business partner and uphold and foster the highest standards of integrity within ABB. You will ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and ethical standards. You will also effectively and pragmatically manage legal risks.
You should be available for travel to customer meetings and to ABB offices. #Main stakeholders are sales, project management, supply chain, functions etc. in the Pulp, Paper & Fiber, Metals & Power Conversion and Materials & Mining business lines.
Reviewing and negotiating contracts, drafting commercial agreements and other contractual terms in collaboration with relevant business stakeholders and team members, and collaborating with contract management.
Monitoring legal affairs, including but not limited to litigations and activity reports and occupying a seat at the table on local strategic business matters.
Ensuring good corporate governance (including structuring, drafting, and negotiation) in your area of accountability within the country, with respect to Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) / divestiture transactions.
Supporting in anticipating future business and legal opportunities and challenges and developing appropriate strategies to address them.

You are passionate about law in a practical and solution orientated way with out-of-the- box thinking. Degree in law from an established US university. Law firm experience and In-house experience preferred.
You are at ease communicating in English. French and/or German helpful.

While base salary is determined by things such as the successful applicant's qualifications and experience, this position is expected to pay between $119,000 and $190,400 annually and is bonus eligible.

ABB provides 11 paid holidays. Vacation is provided based on years of service for hourly and non-exempt positions. Salaried exempt positions are provided vacation under a permissive time away policy.
The Process Industries Division serves the mining, minerals processing, metals, cement, pulp and paper, battery manufacturing, and food and beverage, as well as their associated service industries. The offering for the pulp and paper industries includes control systems, quality control systems, drive systems, on-line sensors, actuators and field instruments. Digitalization solutions, including collaborative operations and augmented reality, help improve plant and enterprise productivity, and reduce maintenance and energy costs.
