HR Generalist - Employee Relations & Recruiting

MagTech is seeking an HR Generalist to support onboarding, benefits administration, payroll support, employee records management, and day-to-day HR operations. This role will serve as a key point of contact for employees while ensuring accurate and efficient HR processes.
Compensation: $65,000-$75,000
Location: Houston, TX
Type: Direct Hire
Responsibilities

Coordinate new hire onboarding and employee file management.
Process employee status, compensation, and benefit changes within the HRIS.
Administer benefits, COBRA, open enrollment, and insurance reconciliations.
Support payroll auditing and serve as backup for payroll administration.
Respond to employee questions regarding benefits, policies, and HR programs.
Maintain HR records, training documentation, and support recruiting activities.
Qualifications

Associate degree with 2+ years of HR experience, or High School Diploma with 4+ years of HR experience.
Experience with onboarding, benefits administration, payroll support, and HRIS systems.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel.
Strong communication, organization, and customer service skills.
Preferred

SHRM-CP or PHR certification.
Experience with recruiting and employee relations.
