Special Education Teacher - Vocational Teacher

JOB DESCRIPTION: • Provide direct instructional support to students in both inclusive, general education settings and small-group instructional environments. • Design, implement, and support instructional strategies and curriculum aligned with the Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks, while adapting instruction to meet individual student needs. • Collaborate with teachers, related service providers, and other specialists to identify student needs, establish learning goals, and develop effective practices that promote student growth and achievement. • Manage a caseload of students, including monitoring and reporting progress, developing and maintaining Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), and communicating regularly with parents/guardians and team members. • Participate in school-based professional development, meetings, and initiatives that support student success and continuous improvement. • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with federal, state, and district requirements. • Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Special Services and/or Principal QUALIFICATIONS: • Massachusetts DESE licensure in Moderate Disabilities (Grades 5-12) or eligibility for licensure. • Ability to collaborate effectively with academic teachers, vocational instructors, and related service providers to support student access to academic and vocational programming.
