Head of Operations Management (m/w/d)

Job Full Description
The Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing daily logistics operations to ensure efficient, on-time, and cost-effective movement of goods. This role manages staff, coordinates workflows, monitors performance, and ensures compliance with safety and company standards. The Operations Manager plays a key role in optimizing processes and maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee day-to-day warehouse, transportation, and distribution operations
Manage, train, and supervise operations staff and team leads
Coordinate scheduling, routing, and resource allocation to meet delivery deadlines
Monitor productivity, KPIs, and operational costs; implement improvements as needed
Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards
Collaborate with customers, carriers, and internal departments to resolve issues
Identify process inefficiencies and drive continuous improvement initiatives
Handle employee performance management, timekeeping, and staffing needs
Prepare reports on operational performance and present findings to leadership
Qualifications & Skills

Proven experience in logistics, transportation, or operations management
Strong leadership and team management skills
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
Ability to work in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment
Strong organizational and communication skills
Knowledge of logistics software, inventory systems, and tracking tools preferred
High school diploma required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred
Physical & Work Requirements

Ability to work early morning hours consistently
Occasional lifting, walking, and standing in a warehouse or yard environment
Ability to handle multiple priorities and deadlines

Hours: Monday-Friday 6:00 am to 3:30 pm
