We are recruiting a Civil Estimator on behalf of a well-established civil contracting firm based in Kelowna, BC, with a strong regional presence across the Okanagan. The company specializes in underground utilities and civil infrastructure, and is in a period of active growth — pursuing more complex, higher-value projects across the region.

The client is not looking for someone set in their ways — they want a motivated, forward-thinking individual who brings field credibility, strong communication skills, and a genuine interest in building a long-term career in civil estimating.

Profile A — Junior to Mid-Level Estimator

Strong organizational and relationship-building skills

Profile B — Field Professional or Project Manager Ready to Move into Estimating

Solid hands‑on experience in underground utilities (water, sewer, storm, or similar)

Some estimating or quantity takeoff experience in a PM or coordinator capacity would be an asset

Perform quantity takeoffs and cost estimates for underground utilities and civil projects

Use Bluebeam for digital takeoffs and HeavyBid for estimate preparation

Review project drawings, specifications, and tender documents

Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier pricing

Support project handoff to operations upon award

Collaborate with field leadership to ensure estimates reflect real-world conditions

Strong communication skills — written, verbal, and in the field

Familiarity with Bluebeam and/or HeavyBid is an asset; training is available

Local company, local projects — no constant travel
