Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN): Preferred
Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice: Required
Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification: Required
AHA-ACLS or ARC-ALS certification: Required
AHA-PALS or ARC-PALS certification: Required
At least two years recent experience in field: Required
Responsibilities
Delivers coordinated nursing care for a patient or an assigned group of patients according to established standards of care.
Supervises and directs the activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff.
Coordinates care with other disciplines while utilizing critical thinking and professional judgment.
Collects relevant data pertinent to the patient's health or situation and analyzes it to determine care issues.
Develops and implements care plans, coordinating care delivery to promote health and a safe environment.
Participates in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care.
