Buyer is a senior-level position responsible for leading complex procurement projects and initiatives. This role involves conducting advanced sourcing and purchasing activities, performing in-depth cost analysis, and developing strategies to improve procurement efficiency and effectiveness. Buyer works closely with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve procurement issues, implement cost-saving measures, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. Additionally, this role involves mentoring and training junior buyers and providing technical expertise to support continuous improvement efforts.

Sourcing and Procurement:

Maintain and update supplier database

Ensure contracts comply with company policies and legal requirements

Monitor contract performance and make necessary adjustments

Evaluate and resolve contract disputes

Strategic Planning and Analysis:

Develop and implement procurement strategies

Monitor and report on key performance indicators

Monitor and evaluate supplier performance

Identify and develop new supplier partnerships

Monitor and control costs related to procurement

Conduct cost analysis and identify areas for improvement

Compliance and Risk Management:

Ensure compliance with company policies and government regulations

Identify and assess potential risks in the supply chain

Develop and implement risk management strategies

Monitor and report on compliance and risk management measures.

A bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field with at least 4 years experience or equivalent work experience that provides exposure to fundamental theories, principles, and concepts.

In-depth understanding of inventory management principles and practices.

Experience with developing and implementing inventory management policies and procedures.

Proficiency in inventory management software and systems.
