Description
American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Oncology RN for a night shift position requiring chemotherapy certification and 1 year of specialty experience.
Details
Hospital-based Med/Surg 2 unit specializing in oncology care
Night shift, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week (36 hours/week)
May be required to float to other departments within scope of competency and qualifications
May be required to be placed on-call during a regularly scheduled shift
Epic EMR used for charting
Requirements
Active RN license (Standard or Compact/CO) required
BLS certification through the American Heart Association required, must not expire prior to start date
Chemotherapy certification required
ACLS/NRP/PALS certification required as appropriate for unit or service
Minimum 1 year of experience in Med/Surg Oncology specialty required
ASN required, BSN preferred
Epic charting experience required
Additional Information
Perform independent nursing functions and delegated medical functions in accordance with state Board of Nursing standards
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient nursing care
Provide health teaching and counseling to patients
Deliver therapy and treatment directly or through consultation, delegation, supervision, or teaching of others
Document care in accordance with hospital and regulatory guidelines
Review and monitor therapy and treatment plans
Refer patients for further evaluation or treatment as needed
Date of birth and last four digits of SSN required for consideration
Background check and drug screen required, with candidates expected to report to the lab for drug screening within 24 hours of assignment commitment
Permanent staff must be separated from any Intermountain facility for at least one year before being eligible for a travel assignment
