Position Summary The Medication Aide is responsible for the safe and accurate administration of medications to residents, monitoring their health status, and supporting the nursing team in maintaining residents' well-being. This role requires attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a commitment to high-quality care.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Medication Administration: Accurately prepare, administer, and document medications according to physician orders and company protocols.
Monitor residents for adverse reactions or side effects and report concerns to the nursing team promptly.

Health Monitoring: Observe and report changes in residents' health status, behavior, and physical condition.
Assist with basic healthcare tasks under the supervision of licensed staff.

Resident Engagement: Build positive relationships with residents through compassionate care and effective communication.
Encourage residents' participation in wellness programs and activities.

Safety & Compliance: Follow infection control procedures and maintain compliance with healthcare regulations.
Respond promptly to emergency situations and assist with emergency care when necessary.

Qualifications Education: High school diploma or GED required.
Completion of a state-approved Medication Aide training program preferred.

Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in a healthcare, senior living, or long-term care setting preferred.

Compassionate, patient, and attentive to residents' needs.
Ability to assist residents with mobility and physical support as needed.

CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
