Electrical Engineer IIThe Electrical Engineer II will be responsible for performing base technical assignments to support production, research, development, design, test and other engineering activities related to electronic designs for use in various aircraft categories. In addition, the role will involve engineering support to resolve field issues that are design related or not.Assist in the design of products to support customer, manufacturing, regulatory, industry standard, and market requirementsProvide production technical supportPerform analog and digital design, circuit analysis, and simulationPerform product troubleshooting and lab testing for both new designs and in-service productsPrepare, review, and approve documentation, work instructions, test procedures, etc. to define and validate designed productsParticipate in design reviews both internally with peers and externally with customersOccasionally be required to travel, both domestically in the United States and internationally (15%)Adhere to safe work practices and contributes to the evolution of the health, safety, and environmental program and cultureOther duties may be assignedEvening and/or weekend hours may occasionally be required.A Bachelor's Degree in Electrical EngineeringA minimum three (3) years' experience in electronics design in a regulated industryExperience with analog and digital circuits including op-amps, comparators, discrete devices, ADCs, and power switching circuitsExperience and hands-on capability with troubleshooting and solving technical problems related to circuit and system failuresHands-on experience with typical electrical test and measurement equipmentAbility to demonstrate analytical problem solvingStrong communication and team-building skillsAbility to function in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision while performing multiple tasksProficiency in a schematic capture program such as Cadence OrCADProficiency in a circuit simulation program such as pSpiceProficiency in calculation tools such as Excel or MathCADStructured problem solving techniquesPhysical Demands: Equal split between office work and working on the shop floor with production technicians.All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, age, ethnicity, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, veteran status, genetic data or other legally protected status.
