RF Electrical EngineerWe are currently looking for a qualified RF Electrical Engineer to join our team. Schedule is full-time, Monday - Thursday, 7:00am - 5:30pm.Radiant Power Corp. delivers the highest levels of quality and reliability from our full range of aerospace products. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.This role is responsible for the design, development and implementation of microprocessor-based aviation power distribution and cabin control products.General DutiesDesign and implement solid state power control systems, cabin control products and data acquisition devices.Write technical documents including software requirements, hardware design descriptions and hardware verification procedures and reports.Conduct peer reviews of designs.Perform hardware verification and validation activitiesPrepare and present technical design reviews both internally and externallyOther duties as assigned.Job QualificationsB.S. degree in Electrical EngineeringAnalog and digital electrical circuit design and developmentPCB layout reviewsDesign for EMC and thermal performanceElectrical circuit specification developmentProduct testing/validation methodsProduction test equipment specification and developmentExperience with schematic capture tools (Altium, Or-Cad, etc)Hardware/Software integrationDatabus communications (ARINC 429, RS 232/422/485, CAN)Aviation qualification standard, RTCA/DO-160Product and software specificationsPrior experience developing and supporting RF ground engineering activities for a satellite communications systemExperience using Spectrum Analyzers, Network Analyzers, Signal Generators and OscilloscopesExperience with RF engineering developing and maintaining schematics, analysis, block diagrams, system Bill of Materials (BOMs), and design review packagesUnderstanding of basic RF circuits and components such as: up/down-converter, amplifier, power splitter/divider, couplers, mixer, filters and its applicationsHands on experience in bread?boarding, testing of RF circuits as well as trouble-shooting effectively to isolate failures to root causeExperience generating, analyzing, tracking, and managing requirementsExcellent analytical, design, time management, written, communication and documentation skillsWorking knowledge of MS Office SuiteAbility to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.Read/Write Fluently in EnglishMust be well-organized, flexible and able to work in a fast paced, manufacturing environmentSustained dependable attendance.Cooperation with others in team environment for cross training and conference on operational issues.Initiative in learning and changing work methods to accomplish assigned tasks on a timely basis.Travel, up to 10%Physical Demands / Work EnvironmentRegularly required to sit for long periods of time.Regularly required to walk up and down stairs.Regularly required to talk or hear.Regular use of hands to finger, handle, or feel.Regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.Occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.Occasionally required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.Vision abilities include close vision, color vision and ability to adjust focus.Noise level is usually moderate.
