Client Service Technical Support Rep

SUMMARYResponsible for assisting clients with service needs and making changes to existing accounts.Incumbent may be required to perform other related duties, as assigned, including cross training across other departments, as necessary.Assists clients with service needs and making changes to existing accountsPre-qualifies new business according to agency guidelinesAssists clients with making changes to existing coverage in an automated environment supported by transactional filingDetermines appropriate billing methods for each client, and applies it accordinglyInforms and educates clients about policy coverage, changes, exclusion and insurance needsProvides technical support to Producers to benefit clients and to reach the agency’s overall business goalsPrepares proposals and completes applications in cooperation with Producers and account executivesSubmits applications to eligible and appropriate carriers, and ensures that all paperwork is filled out and files appropriately and timelyResponds to client’s needs by producing binders, certificates, policies, endorsements and other related itemsActively seeks out referrals from current client base, and follows up to generate new businessWorks to retain existing business by preparing summaries of insurance, schedules and proposals as needed for account review, remarketing renewals, contacting clients, creating renewal proposals and other renewal activities performed in conjunction with the ProducersParticipates in job specific training and other various Bank training programs, as necessaryMaintains current knowledge of internal risk controls and loss prevention, including reporting of suspicious or unusual customer activity per Bank policyMaintains current knowledge and complies with all federal and state laws and regulations and all established Bank policies and procedures, including internal audit controls related to department operationsMaintains current knowledge of all rules, regulations, and laws as they apply to BSA/OFAC/USA Patriot Act/CIP/AMLThese specifications are general guidelines based on the minimum experience normally considered essential to the satisfactory performance of this position. Bachelor’s degree (equivalent experience in service industry may be substituted for college degree requirement)Licensure in Property/Casualty and/or Life/Health insurance or be able to get license within 1 month of hireOne to three years of prior experience with insurance rating and underwriting procedures or similar experienceKnowledge of insurance products and usages, rating procedures, industry operations and insurance markets are a plusExcellent math skills, PC, typing 40-50 wpm, 10 key calculator, telephone, word processing and spreadsheet softwareGood customer service, team-working, organizational, interpersonal and verbal communication skillsAttention to detail, accuracy and mental concentration for accurately performing tasks with frequent interruptionsThe position requires the ability to sit in front of a computer for long periods of time which may cause visual strainBilingual in English and Spanish is desiredORGANIZATIONThis position reports to the Office ManagerThis position does not oversee other positionsTRAINING REQUIREMENTSAll employees are required to attend scheduled mandatory trainings and complete online regulatory compliance training courses applicable to their specific job function.
