Armed Security Officer - 1st Shift FT

Employment Type: Full-Time, 1st Shift

Various Shifts Available: Monday through Sunday

Shift Times: Between 07:00 and 19:00

Starting Compensation: $18 - 21 per hour. Includes 27 hours of paid training between minimum wage and $18/hour. On-the-Job Training /Paid Training

Flexible Schedule

Medical, Dental, Vision, Critical Illness, Short-Term Disability (STD), Accident Insurance, Life, and AD&D

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out safety and security procedures, site‑specific policies and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.

Working environments and conditions may vary by client site.

Completion of an approved State of Florida 40‑hour Unarmed and 28‑hour Armed Security Officer Course.

Ability to provide proof of a high school diploma, college degree, or a valid state GED certificate.

Minimum work experience—any current or previous US military/law enforcement experience. Documentation supporting entitlement to preference must be provided at the time of application.

Ability to work flexible schedules, including days, overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays.

Reliable personal transportation and ability to commute to various job sites as assigned.

24/7 access to a smartphone (Android, iPhone, or Windows) and a computer with internet access.

Intermediate computer skills, including emailing, web browsing, MS Word, and Adobe PDF.

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Self‑motivated, resourceful, and able to prioritize and accomplish job‑related goals and tasks based on training and experience.

Strong English communication skills, including reading and writing. Ability to work safely in various environments, including commercial and industrial locations.

Ability to obtain personal uniform items, as necessary.

Must maintain a neat, professional appearance and wear the complete and clean assigned uniform, including covering any tattoos that may be exposed in the uniform. Must also adhere to grooming standards (hair, nails, beards, etc.) Please check our company's grooming and appearance policies here .

Working knowledge of security and law enforcement guidelines, including investigative techniques.
