PIH Health Hospital
The Buyer is responsible for providing direction in support of a customer service‑focused, cost effective, and centralized process for the acquisitions and delivery of supplies and services to support patients, clinical staff, and department personnel for PIH Health Enterprise. Administer and direct programs to purchase materiel and supplies relative to Enterprise needs in accordance with policy 84000.700.
PIH Health is a nonprofit, regional healthcare network that serves approximately 3 million residents in the Los Angeles County, Orange County and San Gabriel Valley region. The fully integrated network is comprised of PIH Health Downey Hospital, PIH Health Good Samaritan Hospital, PIH Health Whittier Hospital, 37 outpatient medical office buildings, a multispecialty medical (physician) group, home healthcare services and hospice care, as well as heart, cancer, digestive health, orthopedics, women’s health, urgent care and emergency services. Medical/Surgical product knowledge preferred
Computerized Inventory system knowledge preferred
High school diploma
3 to 5 years purchasing experience in an acute care health facility
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
Must obtain LA City Fire Card within 6 months of employment (PHGSH Only)
