Registered Nurse

We are seeking an Occupational Nurse in Yadkinville, NC.

The Occupational Health Nurse serves as a key resource for employee health, workplace safety, and regulatory compliance by providing medical care, emergency response, and occupational health expertise to the organization and its employees. This role partners closely with Human Resources, Safety, Operations, and external medical providers to support employee wellbeing, minimize workplace injuries, and ensure compliance with all applicable medical regulations.

Organizational Skills – Effectively manages multiple programs, documentation requirements, medical supplies, testing schedules, training coordination, and committee activities while maintaining exceptional attention to detail, confidentiality, and regulatory compliance

Proactive Problem Solver – Identifies workplace health and safety risks, supports ergonomic and preventative health initiatives, and implements solutions that promote employee wellness and reduce workplace injuries

Effective Communicator – Builds strong relationships across departments and clearly communicates medical, safety, and compliance information to employees, managers, healthcare providers, and external partners while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality

Adaptable – Thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, balancing clinical responsibilities, regulatory requirements, employee relations support, and evolving organizational needs

Coordinate new hire and post-accident drug testing procedure

Including worker's compensation, hazardous communication, medical records, safety reports, OSHA programs, CDL physicals)

including Employee Assistance Program, medical leaves, short-term and long-term disability

Develop and implement health promotion programs and education initiatives

Triage employee needs, resulting from a work-related injury or medical emergency, and determine appropriate medical actions based on Medical Directives and NC BON Nurse Practice Act

Oversight and management of medical supplies -Order medical supplies, check first aid cabinets and restock as necessary

Maintain medical records, safety reports, and OSHA programs

This includes pre-employment hearing tests, annual hearing tests, follow up if a STS is suspected, annual maintenance of audiometric equipment, annual noise survey in all locations, and specialty fitting of hearing protections

Facilitate return to work evaluations, for employees who have returned from medical leave or are recovering from a work-related injury

Provide or coordinate training for CPR, BBP, First Aid and AED certification, and Reasonable Suspicion

Current state license as a registered nurse

• 3-5 years of nursing experience required; Occupational Nursing experience preferred (will also consider Emergency or Critical Care nursing)
• Specialized Training: ARC Instructor – BBP, CPR, First Aid, AED; Certification in Worker's Compensation training, FMSCA training for Breath Alcohol and urine testing
