Required Documents

Official Transcripts with a minimum of thirty (30) credit hours from an accredited college/university.

Valid Texas Teaching Certificate, if applying as a Certified Substitute Teacher.

The following are the required documents that must be submitted in order to be considered for an interview. You may attach the documents to your application or bring them into the YISD Central Office located at 9600 Sims Dr., Assume responsibilities of the classroom teacher as directed by the campus principal and/or designee; provide instruction in the absence of the classroom teacher. Adhere to federal and state laws, as well as, district policies procedures and regulations.

Check in with campus administrator/site coordinator upon arrival; provide site coordinator with the job number assigned by the computerized sub-finder system.

Provide student instruction and supervision as outlined in lesson plans.

Keep records as assigned by the classroom teacher and/or site administrator or designee.

Document student progress and activities daily and at the close of the assignment.

Follow established safety procedures and techniques to perform job duties and support the goals of the district and division and follow district policies and procedures.

Certified substitute teachers must have a valid Texas teaching certificate.
