Title
RN - Renal Medical-Surgical
Requirements

• RN licensure in the state or a Compact license required at submission
• Minimum of 1 year relevant RN experience required
• BLS certification required
• Experience with telemetry, IV/PICC/central line care, pre/post hemodialysis management, oxygen therapies, wound care, chest tube care, feeding tube and ostomy care, blood product administration, phlebotomy, and medication administration
• Experience with the Epic charting system required

Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in a renal medical-surgical unit
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, implementing nursing interventions as needed
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with established protocols
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and discharge planning
• Educate patients and families on care plans and health management strategies
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record

Compliance / Notes

• Orientation lasts approximately 12 hours; additional onboarding items must be completed within 48 hours of contract signing
• Request Time Off (RTO) is limited to a maximum of 7 days per contract
• Travelers are expected to work major holidays as specified by assignment rules
• Flu vaccine is required, with possible exemptions for medical or religious reasons
