CNC Machinist – Direct Hire | Full Benefits
NESCO is working with a growing manufacturing team looking to add a CNC Machinist to their operation. This is a direct hire opportunity offering stability, strong benefits, and hands-on work with both CNC and manual equipment.
Compensation: $54,080 annually (based on experience) + full benefits
This role is ideal for someone who is comfortable working with tight tolerances, can read blueprints independently, and takes pride in producing quality parts.
What You’ll Be Doing

Set up and operate CNC and manual machines (lathes, mills, grinders, boring machines)
Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
Select tooling, fixtures, and materials for each job
Run CNC programs and ensure parts meet specifications
Perform first-piece and in-process inspections using precision measuring tools
Maintain tight tolerances and consistent quality standards
Make machine adjustments to correct issues and improve production
Complete production records and inspection documentation
Perform basic machine maintenance and report repair needs
Follow safety guidelines and support lean manufacturing practices
What They’re Looking For

• 1–3 years of CNC machining or machine shop experience (or technical training)
• Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings
• Strong mechanical aptitude and shop math skills
• Experience with precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, etc.)
• Basic computer skills

Preferred:

• Trade school or technical training
• 3–5 years of machining experience
