Janitorial Cleaning Position Day Shift

Janitor
Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming facility.
Shift: 1st shift Tuesday-Saturday
Duties and Responsibilities:

Advocates for the mission of the organization and promotes and upholds the agency's values.
Clean and supply designated building areas (dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, cleaning ceiling vents, restroom cleaning etc.)
Perform and document routine inspection and maintenance activities.
Carry out heavy cleansing tasks and special projects.
Notify management of occurring deficiencies or needs for repairs.
Make adjustments and minor repairs.
Stock and maintain supply rooms.
Cooperate with the rest of the staff.
Follow all health and safety regulations.
Requirements:

• High school degree
• 1-2 years Janitorial experience.

Proven working experience as a janitor.
Ability to handle heavy equipment and machinery
Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies
Familiarity with Material Safety Data Sheets
Integrity and ability to work independently.

Ability to lift 50 pounds, climb stairs and ladders, etc.
Ability to work in an environment in which the job is performed, especially any unique conditions outside a normal office environment, such as working in hot, cold, dusty, etc. conditions.
