Manufacturing Engineering Specialist - Assembly

Works to achieve operational targets for specific programs and projects with moderate impact on departmental results.

Development of prototype and production manufacturing processes including equipment, assembly tooling and test fixtures.

Supports New Product Introduction including new equipment/process introductions, work instruction, and DFM activities.

Create and maintain detailed manufacturing and process instructions for complex parts and processes. Create and maintain travelers and work instructions for new parts and assemblies as well as modifications to existing products.

Support production cell focused on thick film, thin film, substrate manufacturing, and electroplating.

Evaluate new and existing processes to ensure quality and safety of the job.

Develop, propose, and implement continuous improvement process initiatives to improve safety, quality, delivery, and cost.

Bachelor’s Degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Material Science and a minimum of 4 years of prior relevant experience or a Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience.

Experience with lean manufacturing best practices, process documentation and control methods.
