Weekend Maintenance Person

Excel Care at Lewes is seeking a reliable and motivated Maintenance Assistant to support the daily operations of our skilled nursing facility. This role plays a key part in maintaining a safe, clean, and well-functioning environment for residents, staff, and visitors. The ideal candidate is hands‑on, dependable, and takes pride in ensuring our facility is well cared for and running smoothly.

Maintenance Assistant Responsibilities: Assist with general maintenance: plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry

Complete repairs and preventive maintenance on equipment and building systems

Respond to work orders and maintenance requests from staff

Help maintain clean and safe common areas, resident rooms, and outdoor spaces

Support seasonal tasks like snow removal and landscaping

Help with room setups, furniture moves, and facility inspections

Maintenance Assistant Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent

Maintenance/skilled trade experience preferred

Basic knowledge of building systems and tools

Flexible availability (weekends/on-call as needed)
