Job Title: System Administrator

This mid-level position is responsible for supporting the Systems Operations Manager in maintaining data center operations including server hardware, software and patches

Three years experience administering Windows servers in an Active Directory environment

Group policy creation and administration.

Administration of Linux systems (Debian, CentOS, Oracle Linux, Ubuntu)

Administration, monitoring, and testing data backup (Veeam)

Documentation of systems, processes, policies

Administration of virtual environment, consisting of VMware, Proxmox, and OLVM

Administration of storage area network (SAN) and network attached storage (NAS), consisting of storage arrays from Pure Storage, Synology, TrueNAS

Disaster recovery process, policies

Microsoft patch management

Active Directory user, computer and security group administration

This position requires a Bachelors’ Degree in Computer Science or Information Systems, and 3+ years applicable experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Degree of mental and visual attention involved in the performance of the normal duties and the requirements for coordination of manual dexterity with such mental and visual attention.Must concentrate mental and visual attention closely on work, coordinating manual dexterity with mental and visual attention for sustained periods.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to both office and plant environments. May be exposed to odors, chemical agents, dust, fumes, gases, sharp objects, hazardous or moving equipment, wet slippery floors, and extremes in temperature and humidity.

Interacts regularly with various staff and employees, and occasionally with vendors, suppliers, community members and regulatory agency representatives.

Travel and overtime are required when necessary.

Supports all operational excellence initiatives ensuring full participation in all department services, continuous improvement efforts, and training programs.

Ensures adherence to Piper Aircraft, Inc. corporate compliance policies.

Adheres to organization and department policies and procedures.

Comply with all organizational policies and standards regarding ethical business practices.

Maintains compliance with company safety policies and procedures, OSHA, and EPA regulations including Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), behaviors, physical space and hazardous waste disposal procedures.

Effective communicator with strong interpersonal skills who understands how to develop and maintain external supplier and internal customer relations in both written and oral form.

Maintain a high level of professionalism at all times during direct contact with employees, suppliers, and customers.

Work beyond 40 hours per week including mandatory overtime may be required.
