Complex Care, Advanced Skills

In the MICU, you’ll care for some of the most critically ill patients in the region. Our diverse and high‑acuity population includes individuals experiencing:

Cardiac crises : Myocardial Infarction (MI), CHF, IABP, Impella, Cardiac Arrest, ECMO

Pulmonary challenges : COPD, ILD, PNA, COVID ICU

Severe infections : Sepsis, Septic Emboli

Metabolic and toxicologic emergencies : DKA, Overdose (OD), Liver Failure, Renal Failure

Advanced therapies : CRRT, CDT

End‑of‑life (EOL) care : Compassionate, patient‑centered support for patients and families

Experience:

Greater than one year of ICU experience required. Candidates with 2 years or more of ICU experience will be considered first.

On‑call: Not required.

Requirements:

Current RN licensure or compact licensure recognized by the State of Vermont required.

ADN required, BSN preferred.

Appropriate experience in specific clinical area. Varies by unit.
