Travel Registered Nurse ICU Job

Overview Registered Nurse – ICU Floating Pool for a 16-week travel assignment in Burlington, Vermont. Start date: 09/21/2026. Weekly pay: $2,576 to $2,619 per week. Guaranteed hours: 0. Shift: 3x12-hour Night shifts. Setting: hospital-based travel assignment in an ICU environment. The role supports units within a central ICU float pool; travelers float first and must be flexible with scheduling. Key Highlights Weekly pay: $2,576–$2,619 per week Contract duration: 16 weeks Shift: 3x12-hour Night shifts Start date: 09/21/2026 ICU float pool assignment with required floating and flexible scheduling; minimum every other weekend Responsibilities Provide direct patient care to critically ill adults in the ICU, including monitoring, assessment, and timely escalation of changes in condition Manage hemodynamic monitoring, ventilator support, medications, and life-sustaining therapies per physician orders and protocols Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care, document in the electronic medical record, and ensure patient safety and adherence to infection control practices Assist with postoperative and high-acuity cases (e.g., post-cardiac surgery, vascular, trauma-level 1) and support overflow of MICU as needed Perform rounds, implement care plans, and communicate changes to families, while ensuring adherence to AHA guidelines and unit policies Requirements Active RN license (state as applicable for Vermont travel assignment) BLS and ACLS required; NIHSS required prior to start; CCRN preferred Minimum 2 years of ICU experience; hemodynamic device experience and exposure to post-operative cardiac, vascular, neurosurgical, trauma, and related populations recommended EPIC EMR experience within the past 2 years Prior travel experience required Flexible, team-focused approach with ability to float to central ICU units and adapt to variable schedules Benefits and Support Bi-weekly orientations on Mondays Assignment support throughout the contract Credentialing and onboarding assistance EMR training and go-live support Scheduling flexibility to meet unit needs Travel coordination and ongoing recruiter support Please note: Pay rates and guaranteed hours are estimates and may vary.
