Line Cooks - Nights and Weekends

Position Overview We are hiring a skilled, committed, and passionate culinary professional for the position of Cook at the Lytle Park Hotel, Autograph Collection.
Responsibilities Complete daily prep responsibilities and set line for service.
Prepare all hot food items according to standard recipes and/or as specified on guest check.
Ensure consistency of product for the guest.
Check the quality of the food as it arrives in the kitchen and inform the Sous Chef of damaged product.
Properly label, date, and store all food.
Maintain work area in a safe and sanitary manner and report safety issues.
Maintain high standards of food preparation in a timely fashion while performing multitasks.
Work closely with standard recipes and presentations to meet required food costs and obtain uniform quality.
Maintain product consistency, seasoning of food, and plate presentation.
Continuously look for ways to increase productivity.
Handle food and rotate it according to established procedures, including cooking and cooling temperatures.
Utilize proper and safe knife skills.
Order food requisitions with the collaboration of the Sous Chef according to business.
Respect and accommodate the food server’s requests regarding guest’s preferences and requests.
Maintain a full line of communication with supervisors.
Perform any other tasks as assigned by the Sous Chef and assist in any area needed.
Qualifications 2-3 years of previous culinary experience in a professional kitchen environment.
Active Food Handler’s certification or the ability to obtain it.
Willingness to work a variety of day, night, and weekend shifts.
Strong organizational skills.
Ability to work independently.
Ability to be on your feet for long periods of time.
Ability to lift at least 50 pounds.
At least 21 years of age.
Desire to exceed expectations.

Compensation & Benefits Salary: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour.
