Registered Nurse - Medical/Surgery - Day Shift

Shift: 6:00 AM - 6:30 PM
Experience:

• 24 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.
• 24 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience with 12 months within the last 36 months (3 years).

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Nebraska license or compact license (required after submission).
• This role may require floating to additional units and locations
• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live 55 miles from facility to be submitted.
• COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.
• No current placement allowed at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - Kearney Regional Medical Center.

References: At least one reference must be from the same unit/specialty as the job you’re applying to.
Unit Details:

• Uses Epic.
• Ratios 1:6 max. Dayshift M-F are 1:5.

Shift & Scheduling:

• Every other weekend.
• Up to 2 extra mandatory shifts per 6 weeks.

Floating Requirements:
- First to float to PCU for a Med Surg assignment unless telemetry trained.
Special Requests:
- Holiday requirements are usually applicable May-Sept and Nov-Jan; cannot ask for more than 1 holiday off during the contract.
14 days maximum time off. Facility holidays: 09/07/2026, 11/26/2026, 12/25/2026, 12/31/2026, 01/01/2027, 05/31/2027, 07/04/2027. Number of holidays allowed off: 1
1 Charge/Lead reference required from within the last 12 months
Driver’s license required for submission
Certifications:

• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• NIHSS (NIH Stroke Scale)
