Keen assessment skills and critical thinking will support you in a fast-paced clinical environment where you will rarely experience the same day twice.Expect to deliver care to 4-6 patients per shiftAdminister medications, change dressings, monitor vital signs, and chart with timely documentationCollaborate with a variety of other healthcare professionals such as social work, care coordination, physical therapy, occupational therapy, lab, respiratory therapy, and imagingWe are offering up to $15,000 sign-on bonus and up to $10,000 educational assistance to new hires who meet the eligibility requirements.Job Requirements Required Graduate of an accredited nursing programActive RN license in the state of Nebraska or nurse license compactBLS (Basic life support) through American Heart AssociationWhere You'll WorkThe medical surgical unit is a 24-bed dedicated unit that cares for a variety of patients including general surgery, medsurg, gynecology, psych/detox, ENT, and general medicine.Established by the Sisters of the St. Francis in 1924, CHI Health Good Samaritan is a 268-bed regional referral center in Kearney, Nebraska. At CHI Health Good Samaritan you'll find an advanced level trauma center that also offers AirCare emergency helicopter transport and an ambulance program; providing long distance and local 911 service. Among our many other services are cardiac care including open-heart surgery, a level II neonatal intensive care unit, a nationally accredited cancer center, comprehensive neurosurgery, advanced orthopedic program, and inpatient and outpatient mental health services at our free-standing Richard Young Behavioral Health facility.
