Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking a Supply Chain Procurement Specialist in support of the AMS Division located in Linthicum, Maryland .

Source and procure commodities such as hardware components, COTS items, and electronic components in support of production and IRAD requirements

Proficiency in the procurement process, including but not limited to price analysis, negotiations, policies and procedures, including the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS)

Ability to place and oversee procurement packages.

Works with internal customers to ensure specifications are appropriate for the services or products required

Identifies opportunities to reduce cost, improve efficiency and manage risk through targeted negotiations.

Interfacing and collaborating with Programs and other organizations within and outside of Global Supply Chain

Ensures that appropriate documentation is provided to logistics/transportation & warehouse organization so that proper receipt is recorded.

Employs sound business practices and assesses supplier performance as part of follow‑up activities.

Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in supply chain management, business and financial planning, contracts administration, project management, logistics, manufacturing

Experience with SAP or similar ERP system

Experience with Government purchasing and contracting

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
