Supervisor Respiratory Therapy (RRT)

Status: Full time

Variable hours, with the expectation of 2-12 hour shifts in staffing coverage and the remaining 16 hours covering administrative needs. Availability for all shifts, including weekends as needed. This position is sign on bonus eligible.

Assures the appropriate quality of care is administered as designated by physician orders or protocol.

Maintains & evaluates supplies and equipment.

Assures that JCAHO standards and organization clinical policies are being followed.

Assists in the development and implementation of departmental goals.

Position requires repetitive physical activity with substantial walking and standing. Work requires the ability to move patients of all age groups and equipment. Graduate of an AMA‑approved school of Respiratory Care required. Credentialed as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) by the National Board for Respiratory Care required. Currently licensed as a Respiratory Care Practitioner for the applicable state required. Associate's degree in Respiratory Therapy with a minimum of two years in a Respiratory Care Department or an RRT equivalent with a minimum of five years in a Respiratory Care Department required. Working knowledge of all phases of Respiratory Care technology pertinent to this position. Bachelor's degree preferred. Basic Life Support for healthcare providers through the American Heart Association required. Advanced certifications per facility policy.
