We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our team in El Cajon, California. As an Occupational Therapist, you will assess and treat patients with a variety of physical, cognitive, and emotional challenges. By developing personalized therapy plans, you'll help patients regain independence and improve their overall quality of life. Your role is integral in assisting individuals to lead more fulfilling and functional lives.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct detailed assessments of patients' physical, cognitive, and emotional health
Develop individualized therapy plans tailored to each patient's needs and goals
Provide therapeutic interventions to enhance motor skills, daily living activities, and cognitive function
Monitor patient progress and make necessary adjustments to treatment plans for optimal recovery
Educate patients and their families on therapy techniques and long-term health strategies
Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure holistic, patient-centered care
Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in accordance with HIPAA and other healthcare regulations
Qualifications
Master's or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution
Current state licensure as an Occupational Therapist (OT) in California
Knowledge of occupational therapy practices, treatments, and techniques
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work both independently and within a multidisciplinary team
Flexibility to treat a broad range of patients, including pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations
Strong organizational skills with a focus on patient care and safety
