Head of Project Management

We are looking for an experienced Project Controls Director to lead project controls for a large-scale capital construction program. This is a high-impact leadership opportunity for a professional with deep expertise in Earned Value Management (EVM), Primavera P6, cost control, scheduling, forecasting, and risk management .

Key Responsibilities

Lead all project controls activities for a large capital construction project.

Own and manage the Earned Value Management (EVM) process, including planned value, earned value, actual cost, and performance measurement.

Integrate project cost, schedule, forecasting, and performance reporting into a unified project controls framework.

Collaborate with cost engineers, schedulers, and project teams to ensure alignment between Work Breakdown Structure (WBS), Cost Breakdown Structure (CBS), and Primavera P6 schedules.

Develop executive-level dashboards, reports, and presentations highlighting project performance, trends, risks, and recommendations.

Lead project risk management activities, including identification, assessment, mitigation planning, and ongoing monitoring.

Incorporate project risks into cost forecasts and schedule performance reporting.

Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing project controls team while promoting accountability and continuous improvement.

Ensure accurate, timely, and transparent reporting throughout the project lifecycle.

Communicate project performance effectively with executive stakeholders and support strategic decision-making.

Required Qualifications

Extensive experience in Project Controls on large capital or construction projects.

Strong expertise in Earned Value Management (EVM).

Advanced hands-on experience with Primavera P6.

Experience integrating cost control, scheduling, forecasting, and performance management.Strong understanding of project risk management principles.

Experience supporting construction-phase or CAPEX projects.

Pharmaceutical industry experience is preferred; Oil & Gas or other large industrial project experience will also be considered.

Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Ability to work onsite in Indianapolis, IN, five days per week.
