Warehouse Responsible and Delivery

The Chesterfield Food Bank Outreach Center, established in 2010, is a faith‑based nonprofit dedicated to nourishing and strengthening the local community by addressing food insecurity. The organization focuses on supporting individuals and families who may fall through gaps in existing aid programs, ensuring kids, adults, and seniors have access to nutritious food. This is a full‑time, on‑site Warehouse Manager role based in Richmond, VA. The Warehouse Manager oversees daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, and distributing food and supplies in alignment with safety and compliance standards. Responsibilities include organizing stock, managing inventory levels, coordinating deliveries and pick‑ups, and maintaining accurate records to support efficient food distribution. The role also involves supervising and training staff and volunteers, implementing operational processes, and ensuring equipment and warehouse spaces are clean, safe, and well‑maintained. The Warehouse Manager collaborates with program staff and leadership to support outreach initiatives and optimize the flow of goods to meet community needs.

Candidates should possess skills in Stock Control and Inventory Control to ensure accurate tracking and organization of all items.

Candidates should possess Inventory Management and Operations Management skills to maintain efficient warehouse workflows and supply levels.

Candidates should possess Forklift Operation skills and familiarity with warehouse equipment to safely handle pallets and large loads.

Experience in supervising staff or volunteers and coordinating daily operations in a warehouse, logistics, or distribution environment.

Commitment to the mission of addressing food insecurity and serving community members with respect and dignity.

Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, moving, and stocking items, and standing for extended periods.

High school diploma or equivalent required; additional training or certifications in logistics, warehousing, or safety are a plus.
