Civil Engineer – Land Development
A well-established engineering consulting firm is seeking an experienced Civil Engineer to join its growing land development team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated professional who enjoys working in a collaborative environment on diverse site development projects throughout the region.
Responsibilities
Prepare site civil engineering construction documents under the supervision of the Project Manager
Develop roadway, utility, and site design plans
Assist with zoning, preliminary, and conceptual land development plans
Perform grading and drainage design to support cost-effective and safe site development
Prepare erosion and sediment control plans, including calculations and BMP design
Support construction cost estimating through quantity calculations
Research and apply applicable local, state, and federal design standards and codes
Coordinate with approving agencies during permitting and plan processing
Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering required
• 5+ years of experience in civil/site land development engineering
• Experience working on projects in Maryland, including Prince George’s County and/or Montgomery County
• Proficiency with MicroStation and/or AutoCAD
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and self-motivated
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
