Assist with ADLs: including assistance with grooming, bathing, oral hygiene, feeding, incontinent care, toileting, colostomy care, prosthetic appliances, transferring, ambulation, range of motion, communicating, or other needs in keeping with the individuals' care requirements as directed.Promote skin integrity to prevent pressure ulcers, skin tears, and other damage by changing incontinent residents, turning, repositioning immobile residents, and applying moisturizers to fragile skin.Treat each patient client's personal property with respect.Performs various delegated tasks assigned by the nurse including vital signs, residents' weights, and applying creams/ointments.Understand and be able to follow safety and infection control procedures including thorough hand washing, use of disposable gloves where indicated, and proper disposal of soiled materials.Communicates and interacts effectively and tactfully with the resident, visitors, families, peers, and supervisors.Fosters a culture of excellence and provides exceptionally reliable, safe, high-quality patient care. Can complete training on-siteExperience as a home care aide (in homes or facilities), or other applicable experience preferred.Be listed in good standing with the Washington DSHS background check systemAbility to read, write, speak, and understand English as needed for the jobHave transportation to and from job.Population-specific experience a plus, (training may be provided) for conditions such as: dementia, Parkinson's, hospice/end of life care.RN delegation certificate a plus may complete training through journey Nursing Services.
