College for Lifelong Learning (Part Time) Instructor

To support the U.S. Navy Community College, the part-time contract Adjunct Faculty Instructor - NAV 102 will deliver online asynchronous instruction in Modern Naval History, engaging with students through discussions, grading, and providing feedback over a 10-week commitment.

Key responsibilities

Deliver high-quality online instruction and facilitate engaging discussions for assigned undergraduate-level courses

Grade assignments and provide timely, constructive feedback to support student learning and success

Monitor student progress and maintain regular communication, including virtual office hours, to assist students academically

Required qualifications

Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship

Relevant military experience or teaching experience in an online learning environment using Learning Management Systems

A Master's degree (Doctorate preferred) in a relevant discipline with at least 18 graduate semester hours in the teaching subject

Prior college-level teaching experience, particularly in U.S. history, military history, or related fields

Demonstrated understanding of Andragogy and Adult Learning Theory with significant relevant experience in a military or related setting
