The client is seeking a skilled and motivated Journeyman Electrician to join the team. This role is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems across commercial and renovation projects. The ideal candidate will ensure electrical systems operate safely, efficiently, and in compliance with applicable codes and regulations. This opportunity offers exposure to a variety of projects and environments while contributing to high-quality construction work.
Key Responsibilities
Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems
Work with both low voltage and high voltage wiring systems
Perform electrical work across commercial and industrial project sites
Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical drawings
Utilize hand tools, power tools, ohmmeters, and testing equipment to diagnose and verify system performance
Ensure all work complies with National Electrical Code (NEC) requirements
Collaborate with construction and renovation project teams
Maintain a clean and safe work environment
Conduct inspections of tools and equipment
Follow safety procedures and OSHA standards
Qualifications
Valid Journeyman Electrician license required
Proven experience as an industrial or commercial electrician
Experience within construction or renovation environments
Strong knowledge of:
Low voltage systems
High voltage systems
Electrical schematics
Blueprint interpretation
NEC standards
Proficiency with:
Hand tools
Power tools
Ohmmeters
Electrical testing equipment
Ability to accurately read technical schematics and construction drawings
Strong understanding of construction site safety practices
Experience following OSHA guidelines
