RN is responsible for providing specialized nursing care to critically ill neuro patients, including those with neurological trauma, post-operative neuro surgeries, and cerebrovascular events. Administer comprehensive nursing care to critically ill neuro patients, including ventilator management and neurological assessments.
Perform advanced procedures such as neuro-specific diagnostics, EVD management, and induced hypothermia therapies.
Monitor and interpret telemetry and hemodynamic data to inform patient treatment plans.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
Maintain accurate documentation using Meditech system and ensure compliance with hospital policies and guidelines.
Promote patient and family education regarding treatments, procedures, and post-discharge care.
Hold a valid RN license with 36 months of clinical experience, including at least one year in ICU.
Demonstrate recent travel nursing experience in a similar ICU setting, preferably with Meditech proficiency.
Possess certifications in BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale, with additional certifications such as TNCC or Neuro-specific credentials preferred.
Ability to care for multiple neuro patients, including ventilated patients, and read telemetry strips proficiently.
Exhibit strong skills in managing complex neuro procedures such as EVD care, neuro imaging, and advanced hemodynamics.
Show adaptability to floating policies and willingness to work 12-hour shifts, including weekends and holidays.
