Registered Respiratory Therapist II (RRT)
Location: Presbyterian Medical Center, Charlotte, NC

Hours: Part-time, 7 pm - 7 am

What We're Looking For

Education: 2‑year/Associate Degree required; 4‑year/Bachelor’s Degree preferred

Licensure/Certification: Current RCP licensure in appropriate state required

What You'll Do

Serve as a patient advocate and incorporate education into the interdisciplinary care plan

Prioritize job duties according to patients' needs and changing acuity levels, ensuring timely completion of care interventions and medical orders

Administer and evaluate medication therapies; perform patient transfers and transports

Evaluate patient needs and provide appropriate routine respiratory care such as ABGs, bronchial hygiene therapy, etc., and perform higher levels of care in critical care areas and emergent situations

Demonstrate independence in the specialty of Respiratory Care and practice according to state requirements and standards

Ventilator management, code blue, airway management, interpretation and intervention with blood gas analysis, use of related protocols for patient care (Critical Care Specific)

Document care in accordance with hospital policy and regulatory requirements
