Job Summary:

Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory (CCL) Nurse position located in Peoria, Illinois. This role involves providing specialized nursing care in a high-volume cath lab setting, supporting procedures for a variety of cardiac diagnoses including STEMI, NSTEMI, heart failure, congenital conditions, TAVR, MITRACLIP, and peripheral interventions. The position requires clinical expertise in reading strip interpretations and handling titrating drips, with responsibilities including supporting emergent cases and coordinating with cardiology for 24/7 on-call coverage.

Job Details:

Schedule: 10-hour shifts, 4 days per week, with occasional extended hours as needed to complete emergent cases.

Required Qualifications: Active Illinois RN license or confirmation of application process, BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association, minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in cath lab or related cardiovascular settings, and ability to read strips and manage drips.

Preferred Qualifications: Experience with GE and Philips monitors, McKesson systems, and EPIC EMR platform; familiarity with cardiology procedures such as TAVR, MITRACLIP, and peripheral interventions.

Additional Information: Local rate applies for clinicians with permanent addresses within 50 miles. The department operates a separate cath lab from electrophysiology and interventional radiology units. Call shifts include weeknights, weekends, and holidays, with on-call duties expected at least 6-8 times per month. Flexibility for sharing IR experience and experience with scrub dress code (scrubs provided) is also noted. Orientation period includes 2-3 shifts.
